Panama is a country in Central America. Its official name is the Republic of Panama, and it is most famous for the Panama Canal. Countries bordering Panama are Costa Rica in the Northwest and Colombia in the Southeast. Panama is between the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean

Tourism in Panama is rapidly growing.[citation needed] It has maintained its growth over the past five years due to government tax and price discounts to foreign guests and retirees. These economic incentives have caused Panama to be regarded as a relatively good place to retire in the world.

The airport serves as the homebase for Copa Airlines and is a regional hub to and from The Caribbean, South, North and Central America. Additionally, some major European cities such as Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam, Lisbon and Madrid are served nonstop. Flights to Dubai (operated by Emirates) will start in 2016.
